Celeriac

Also, known as "celery root", this is a root vegetable with a strong celery flavor.

Bit of work to prep (sorta like peeling ginger) but it's really tasty.

    Supposedly it can be mashed like potatoes.

    Yep. But at $3 per item, that would be one heck of an expensive mashed dish.

    Planning to make a celeriac and potato gratin soon.
